ESCE

In the spring of 2026, a new annual trade event for the European Smart City Industry will take place at the Royal Jaarbeurs: ESCE. The climate-neutral and smart city encompasses living, working and recreation, as well as mobility, climate resilience, social and cultural attractiveness and healthy aging.

Ensuring a sustainable living environment requires an integrated approach where the interdependencies and mutual influences of all sectors are well-coordinated. Digitalization is essential for this. The shared shortage of manpower and resources underscores this necessity. The development of smart, resilient cities thus forms a solid foundation for innovative entrepreneurship at the intersection of digitalization and sustainability.

Climate-Neutral and Smart City: Triangle of the Built Environment, Mobility and Energy

ESCE is an international trade event with a wide range of keynote sessions and workshops where experts share knowledge about the latest developments in climate-neutral and smart cities. The target audience includes international policymakers, clients, developers, designers, builders and anyone interested in climate-neutral and smart cities. The event offers a broad and high-quality range of solutions, showcases innovations and experiments, bridges the gap between knowledge and practice and considers the social context.

For Jaarbeurs, this is the reason to introduce this new event, in addition to its trade fairs BouwBeurs, VSK, DigiBouw and Future Facade, in collaboration with the ecosystem EarthValley and Urban Innovators Global.
